Off Your Box Winners 2005

The Off Your Box competition was launched in 2005, and proved such a success that it will now become an annual event.

The competition is run by Screen Media Lab in conjunction with UCE Birmingham.

The Ceremony

The Off Your Box 2005 awards ceremony was opened by Anne Wood, Creative Director and Founder of Ragdoll, the company behind Brum and the Teletubbies. Anne discussed the value of the wide range of opportunities now available in the screen media sector to both young people and businesses, and the fact that these are leading to more and more talent emerging. Off Your Box celebrates this talent, and promotes innovation in all screen media fields.

The awards themselves were presented by Radio DJ & TV Presenter Margherita Taylor, who is also a former student of the Media Department at UCE Birmingham. The entries were judged by a group of leading figures from the West Midlands creative industries.
